New Mercedes-Benz AMG SL63 Launched In China, Still Equipped With V8 Engine

Mercedes-Benz's brand-new convertible sports car AMG SL63 four-wheel drive version is officially launched, and the guide price of the new car is 1.9998 million yuan.

As the first model in the history of the SL series to be built by the AMG department, the new car returned to the 2+2 seat layout for the first time in 32 years, and the new AMG GT that was born later was also built on the same platform.

In terms of appearance, the new car adopts AMG's exclusive "waterfall" racing air intake grille. It is equipped with 1.3 million pixel intelligent digital headlights, which can automatically adjust the illumination angle and height according to needs. The overall look is very sharp.

On the side of the body, the new car still inherits the elegant and avant-garde sports car styling of the SL series. Coupled with the sleek and soft body lines, it further enhances the high-end sense of the vehicle.

Coming to the rear, the new car is equipped with a 5-stage active adjustable rear spoiler, and adopts a trapezoidal double-sided exhaust design. The official claims that "at a maximum speed of 60 km/h, the soft-top convertible will be opened within 15 seconds."

In terms of interior, the new car adopts a 2+2 seat layout, is equipped with an active ambient lighting system, and the Burmester surround sound system is installed on the SL model for the first time. In addition, the car also provides AIRSCARF head and neck heating system, and optional AMG high-performance seats in the front row.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with an M177 V-type 8-cylinder twin-turbocharged engine and an AMG 9-speed gearbox, paired with an enhanced version of the AMG high-performance full-time four-wheel drive system. This combination brings an output torque of up to 800 Nm and an output power of up to 430 kW, making it accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.6 seconds and a maximum speed of 315 km/h.

To sum up, the launch of the new Mercedes-AMG SL 63 4MATIC + marks an important breakthrough in the field of luxury sports cars. Its strong power performance, gorgeous exterior design and luxurious and comfortable interior configuration will bring consumers a new driving experience.
